"My mother rescued you from a Taco Bell parking lot.  You were so small, young  and cute that you stole our hearts.  So, we in turn stole you from her and took you home to live with us instead.  You were skittish and hid from everyone, even until your old age, but always showed so much character and love in private.  We experienced so much together with you that it always felt like you would be with us forever; our first home, our marriage, job careers and so on.

You quietly left us late in the evening on November 24, 2017.  We miss you so much.  Thank you for being a part of our lives."
