Shy Shy Weatherington

Shy Shy Weatherington passed away Wednesday, February 21st with her loving parents by her side. Born in 2009, Shy Shy was adopted from Jonesboro Animal Control as a companion to her fellow adopted sister dog, Gracie. Shy Shy had a distinctive personality true to her rat terrier and chihuahua heritage. She was nervous around new people or dogs, hated thunderstorms or loud noises, but was a faithful and loyal friend.  She may have been small, but her personality was larger than life. She spent her time chasing squirrels until she finally caught one years later. She loved soft blankets or pet beds. She never turned down a treat or bite of food. She would sit up like a meerkat to beg or when she was excited. She ran faster than most dogs and she loved very few people.  

Her nightly tap dancing and little barks will be missed.  Her hatred of going outside to potty in bad weather will be a favorite memory of mine. She loved her sister Gracie, but at times they would squabble like true sisters over a bone or toy. She adored her stuffed lamb chop toy, something we had to buy in multiples. She grew up with her human sister from the time she was born until she turned ten. She was, like her sister who passed before her, a ray of light in this world. She lived her life on her terms and we were just spectators in her world. There will never be another Shy Shy in this world. She truly was one of a kind.  She will be deeply missed and loved.  Mommy loves you Little. You had many nicknames:  Little, Little Bit, Shy Shy, ShyGuy (for her parents' love of Mario Bros), Shy, Meerkat, and She She.  You would have been 15 years old this year. You lived a long life, but it would have never been long enough for me. You are an angel reunited with Gracie at the Rainbow Bridge.  Until we meet again, I love you and miss you more than words can ever say.
