Peanut Wendel

d. April 28, 2021

When I was at the animal shelter the day I adopted Peanut, I never expected to actually adopt a dog. I was only there to look at the dogs. However, the moment we locked eyes on each other I knew that he was supposed to be with me. I was in high school at the time, so I left the shelter to go ask my mother if I could adopt this dog. My mother gave me a very strong NO. I was very angry, so I decided to ignore my mother and adopt him anyway. The day after I got Peanut my mom gave him back to the shelter without telling me. When I came home from school and found out he was gone I cried for 2 hours. When my dad got home from work and saw me and mother both crying, He immediately called the person in charge of the shelter and begged for him back. Ever since that day that I saw him, he became my entire world. I was a real mother to him and he was in every sense of the word my son. He will always be the most spoiled and loved child I will ever have. When I lost Peanut he was at my parents house while I was away at college. I hadn’t seen him in 2weeks. I never got to say goodbye but I will always keep you close to my heart. We will always love and miss you Baby Darlin’ and Momma Darlin’ will see you again one day.
