She was just a pup running down the middle of Holmes Road in South Memphis. Our son was on his way home from work that day…..He just stopped and scooped her up and tossed her over into the passenger seat of his truck. The rest is history as they say. “Macy” came into our home with our already two elderly Boxers. She fit right in! She loved them! Macy was about 4 months old according to the vet and would probably be about 35-40 pounds……Our vet missed that weight-DRASTICALLY! Macy grew to be a steady 70-80 pounds and was “diagnosed” a pit mix. BEST DOG WE EVER HAD!!! Her personality was BIG. If she could have talked she would have and her expressions were priceless. She was FAMILY. The boxers went to heaven, along came Mick, the bulldog mix, and then Mick went to heaven. Macy- still kicking! She saw the boys through high school and college and welcomed two grand kids and was the guinea pig for makeup for the granddaughter and the workbench for the grandson and his tools. She never uttered a sound or made a move as they played and made LOTS of noise, you see, to her, everything about her family was so wonderful and she wanted to be in the middle of everything! Macy left us on March 10, 2021 at the ripe old age of 14. We will miss her every single day, the grand kids miss her, this house misses her, Life will just never be the same around here without that BIG personality and busy body supervising our every day. Run Macy Run!
