Lady Bug Fields, a miniature schnauzer of Cordova, TN, pranced her way across the Rainbow Bridge on June 20, 2017. Born on June 19, 2003, Lady Bug was welcomed to the Fields Family at the tender age of six weeks old. The only pet in the house, it would not be long before Lady Bug would become an addition to the family; no longer a pet, but a pampered "princess".
Her desire to always be pampered earned her the nickname "Princess." Lady Bug would run the Fields household like any princess would. She never liked being wet or dirty. She would not sleep on a pet bed. She would only sleep in one of the human's beds. Lady Bug was more than spoiled and she would soon prove just how beyond spoiled she was.
In January 2007, Lady Bug showed she was not happy with the newest member to the Fields family, Duke, also a miniature schnauzer. Duke would soon show Lady Bug that she was still in charge. Lady and Duke would soon join forces and let other dogs know who ran the "block." With Duke as her enforcer, Lady Bug still maintained her royal status.
In December 2016, Lady Bug was diagnosed with cancer. It would be the second time in four years cancer would take away a member of the family. Stricken with cancer, Lady Bug would continue to live a full and privileged life for the next six months.
After 14 years of faithful and loyal companionship, on June 20th Lady Bug was put to rest. Lady Bug leaves to cherish her memories, Dad, Tomika, Giovanna and Duke and her paw print on the hearts of many, many more.
