Jolene Mason

Jolene lost her battle with cancer May 8^th 2024, she was 13 years old.  As a puppy Jolene was found in a dumpster by animal control officers. A local veterinarian took her in and that is where she came into my life.  First, she was a foster but was a 'foster fail' very quickly!!  she became my best friend and was my bestie for 13 years.  Jolene loved riding in the truck, but her window had to be down so she could sniff the air and let her ears flop, regardless of the weather!  She loved following along on horseback rides, loved the water, especially mud holes, these required her to lay down and roll in them.  She was a mentor to an uncountable number of foster pups. I would bring home fosters and Jolene would look at me with those brown eyes, as to say, how long will they be here this time Mom?!  She was in charge of teaching puppy etiquette and manners.

She especially loved foster kittens, she would watch me bottle feed them, waiting for her job of cleaning them after each meal. Kittens fascinated her! 

Jolene leaves behind Her Mom (Carolann Mason), her sister (Winnie), a grandmother, aunt, uncle and cousin, as well as doggie cousins (Abby, Porky & Yogi).

She will be greatly missed!!
