On Wednesday, October 6th, 2021 at the age of 17, Darcy Moss crossed the Rainbow Bridge at home with her mom, dad and dog brother Gus by her side.
From the moment she ran to her mom’s arms as a puppy (Christmas gift from her grandparents), it was love at first site for Darcy and her mom. She went on many road trip adventures with her mom as a military dog and lived in four states before settling down in Tennessee, eventually welcoming her dad Charlie, human brother Ryan and dog brother Gus to the family.
She adored her grandparents, aunts and cousins and loved going to their homes to play with her dog cousins. She loved to play fetch with her toys and would even chase weeds when mom was gardening. Darcy was an avid watch dog and always on guard when someone rang the doorbell. Going for daily walks was routine for her and she always knew what the leash coming out of the closet meant. In her younger years, she also loved playing in the snow and would hop like a rabbit through the drifts.
As her health began to decline in the recent months, I knew our time together would be coming to an end soon. She spent her entire life with me and I’m forever grateful for the 17 years we had together.
Until we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge, she’ll always be my “Dar-Dar-Binks”.
