Our Dearest Bear, 

They say when the time is right, you’ll know. What are the chances that we found you at the shelter just a day after arriving when we finally decided to adopt? Perfect, right. When we first met you we knew and so did you, the bond truly started from the very beginning. There aren’t many things in this life that happens so effortlessly, but boy are we grateful you did. You have gotten to be witness of our entire love story thus far. Our first apartment, our marriage, new vehicles, first kid, new house, new jobs, loss and grief, second kid, bigger house, you have always been there. We always imagined we’d get to take those silly First Day of School photos with you and your babies when the time come, we expected you to see them off to college, and though old age is a thing, we couldn’t have imagined anything else. You were the absolute sweetest grumpy old man. Everyone absolutely adored you, especially the kids, and most especially Thor. I hope your time with us has been just as great of a ride as it has been for us! We miss you and we will love you always!
